Renesas RE Family Introduction - The World’s Most Energy Efficient MCU **NEW**
Date Published
September 08, 2020
This training introduces Renesas RE Family, a 32-bit MCU product family using Renesas' innovative SOTB™ process technology, and RE01 group. The SOTB™ process technology enables ultra-low current consumption in both active and standby modes and high-speed operation (64 MHz) at a low voltage (1.62 V) that could not be achieved with conventional semiconductor technologies. This low power consumption performance has been certified by getting the world's best score of 705 in EEMBC's ULPMark-CP Benchmark that fairly measures the energy efficiency of MCUs. RE Family provides added value that could not be achieved before to applications such as smart homes/buildings, wearable devices, trackers, structure monitoring, and healthcare by enabling longer battery life, reducing the battery size, and high-speed operation in an environment where the current/voltage supply capacity is limited.
Introduction to Renesas RE Family & RE01 Group
Date Published
October 31, 2019
EMBP10000: This module introduces the RE Family, the new ASSP product family that uses Renesas' innovative SOTB™ process technology, and the RE01 group, the first group in the RE Family. You will learn that SOTB™ process technology achieves ultra-low consumption of both active and standby current, which was impossible with conventional semiconductors. Also covered is how the use of an energy harvesting controller and a 32-bit CPU enables the development of intelligent energy harvesting IoT devices with maintenance-free batteries. This material is appropriate for anyone evaluating, or wishing to gain and overview of, the RE family and/or the RE01 Group.
This module takes approx.. 15 mins to complete.
